Adult group lessons at Toronto Racquets follow one pathway, from your first time on court to competitive league play. Find your level below, then choose the location and time that fit your week.
The fall and winter season runs in two sessions: a fall session and a winter session.
For adults new to tennis or racquet sports. Builds coordination, clean contact with the ball and the basic strokes. The goal is to build the strongest foundation possible, setting players up for success and faster improvement down the line.
For players with limited experience. Focused on sustaining a rally with solid fundamentals, hitting the ball on time and good positioning. Players with prior racquet-sport experience or a strong athletic background may be able to start here, even if they’re new to tennis.
Sessions balance technical and tactical work. Technical work builds on solid fundamentals, adding spin, depth and direction to every stroke. Tactical work uses live points and game situations to train decision-making and shot execution under match conditions.
For competitive match players. Movement and consistency from anywhere on the court, tactics against stronger opponents and decisions under pressure, with a strong doubles focus for league play.
Fast-paced, drill-based workouts that keep you moving and hitting from start to finish, for players who want a great workout and plenty of time on the ball. Heavy emphasis on learning the various footwork techniques required to get to the ball as fast as possible in every situation.
